Moving Columns and Rows

Moving from cell to cell can be done in two ways.

1. Pressing the TAB key will move the cur­sor from one cell to the next cell on the right. PressingSHIFT+TAB will move the cur­sor from one cell to the next cell on the left.

2. Holding down the CTRL key and press­ing the arrow keys will move the cur­sor in the direc­tion of the arrow key that is pressed

Moving A Column  

Click and drag on the col­umn infor­ma­tion head­er where the col­umn num­ber is locat­ed, move the col­umn to the new location.

Moving A Row

Click and drag on the row num­ber, move the row to the new location.

Deleting A Column

To delete a col­umn, press CTRL and click on the col­umn infor­ma­tion head­er. Select Delete col­umn from the pop­up menu.

To delete a row, press CTRL and click on the row num­ber. Select Delete row from the pop­up menu.

Sorting Rows By Column

Fig 111MRows can be sort­ed by col­umn by press­ing CTRL and click­ing on the col­umn head­er name cell. This is use­ful when sort­ing rows alpha­bet­i­cal­ly or numer­i­cal­ly. Sorting options are explained fur­ther in the Sorter win­dow sec­tion of this manual.
