Connecting to the Shared Folder

With the net­work set­tings and shar­ing in place, con­nect the two com­put­ers via an eth­er­net cable.

To check con­nec­tiv­i­ty, open the Network pref­er­ences pan­el and look for a green light next to Ethernet.Screen Shot 2015-05-15 at 1.40.29 pm

On the view­ing com­put­er con­nect to the capture/​coding com­put­er shared folder.

  1. Open Finder and press COMMAND+K.
  2. In the Connect to Server win­dow type in the IP address of the capture/​coding com­put­er,
  3. The login screen will pop up, login using the user name and pass­word for that of the capture/​coding computer.Fig 72a
  4. Choose the ~/​Desktop fold­er in the list and click OK. This will mount the fold­er and it can be accessed in Finder to open the time­line share.
