Defensive Responsibility OBV and HOPS v2
Two extensions to models already live on the platform: Defensive Responsibility, expressed as on-ball value (OBV), and HOPS aerial ratings adjusted for opponent quality. All metrics are backfilled across the full data catalogue.
Defensive Responsibility OBV
Weighs the OBV a defender concedes based on their share of responsibility for each attacking event, putting defensive contribution on the same value scale as attacking metrics.

HOPS v2: Opponent-Adjusted Aerial Ratings
Three new metrics that account for the quality of aerial opponents faced, removing the distortion of playing against weak or strong aerial teams.
- Predicted Headers: expected headers won across all aerial duels a player contested, given the difficulty of those duels. Available as player_match_predicted_headers (Player Match Stats v7.0.0) and player_season_predicted_headers_90 (Player Season Stats v6.0.0)
- Aerial Unit Rating: time-weighted average HOPS rating of a team's five highest-rated aerial players on the pitch. Available as team_match_aerial_unit_rating (Team Match Stats v3.0.0)
- Aerial Team Rating: time-weighted average HOPS rating across all 11 players, a measure of overall squad aerial solidity. Available as team_match_aerial_team_rating (Team Match Stats v3.0.0)
