Watch the video to discover how Hartpury University and College are gaining data-driven insights from WIMU and the Hudl Pro Suite across multiple sports and their education program.

Hartpury University and College is home to more than 1200 student athletes across their ten sports academies, providing a full pathway from college, to university, through to external teams.

With a number of alumni who have gone on to play professionally, such as England rugby internationals Ellis Genge and Natasha Hunt, Hartpury is renowned for preparing students for careers in the sports industry, including performance analysis, coaching, and strength and conditioning.

An integral part of Hartpury replicating an elite sports performance environment is their use of Hudl’s integrated solutions across multiple sports and genders. Hartpury have grown to use the full Hudl ecosystem and have now added WIMU to take their athlete performance and sports analysis to the next level.

Hartpury use WIMU’s athlete tracking devices and software across numerous teams playing football, netball and rugby to gain specific insights tailored to each sport’s unique demands. WIMU’s ease of use, rapid download time and versatility means that coaches and analysts can quickly access key information, minimizing turnaround times between sessions.

Hartpury’s use of Hudl sports technology doesn’t stop with the athletes on the field but is also an essential part of classroom learning. As part of the MSC Applied Performance Analysis in Sport degree, students use a range of tools, including Sportscode, Wyscout, Focus Flex, and Studio, with plans to integrate WIMU into their research too.

Students also get to put what they learn into action with external placements in order to gain real-life experience of elite set-ups, familiarizing themselves with Hudl’s Pro Suite in a live environment, and setting them up for careers in the professional game.
