We visited Hartpury University RFC to discover how they have integrated WIMU into their rugby workflows to prevent injury, manage load and boost performance.

Hartpury University RFC is a rugby union club playing in the RFU Championship, the second tier of the English league system. The Gloucestershire side have been an ever present in the Championship since 2017/18, fostering a reputation for player development and innovative use of technology.

Based at Hartpury University and College, the club is unique in its set-up, providing players a pathway from further education to external elite teams. The Gloucester-Hartpury Women's RFC team also competes at the top level in the Premiership Women’s Rugby league.

What also makes Hartpury stand out from the competition is their commitment to leveraging video and data to inform and enhance their athlete performance.

We travelled to Hartpury’s training facilities to see how their rugby team uses WIMU to prevent injury, aid return to play and manage load, in order to enhance player development and achieve on-field success.

Integrated with Hudl technology, WIMU hardware and software are enabling the team to gain insights and improve decision-making, particularly in analyzing contact and collision data.
