The NAIA and Hudl continue their strong partnership to provide a member school with a full athletic department package.

One NAIA school is receiving a premium athletic department package to give every program access to Hudl’s full suite of products for a year.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Hudl, the industry leader in video and data solutions for global sports, are partnering for a full athletic department package giveaway. William Penn University athletic director Nik Rule won the giveaway at the NAIA convention.

William Penn University, located in Oskaloosa, Iowa, lists 24 programs in the athletic department: 12 men’s programs, 11 women’s programs, and a competitive cheer and dance program.

The athletic department package, active for one full year, provides each program with video hosting, analysis and sharing tools. Teams will have full game stats and interactive reports from Hudl Assist. The football program will have Hudl Sideline for in-game instant replay, and Playtools—Hudl’s online playbook product.

Also included in the athletic department package is the Hudl Focus camera. Hudl Focus is a hands-free smart camera that automatically records and uploads games, with live streaming and flexible broadcasting capabilities—all without a camera operator. Hudl recently announced that a new version of the Focus camera is available this year specifically for outdoor sports, making William Penn University one of the first programs in the country to have it.

“The virtual NAIA convention was a unique opportunity to connect in these abnormal times,” said Rule. “We’re excited to be the fortunate winner of this technology from an important NAIA partner in Hudl and look forward to using it on our campus.”

“From the beginning of the partnership Hudl has been all in for the NAIA,” said Austin Bennett, Director of Special Events and Sports Sponsorships. “They have provided both our schools and National Championships with a first-class product. The Athletic Director Package that they donated to our Convention is just an extension and example of how much they care about small college athletics.”

Since 2019, the NAIA and Hudl partnership centers on elevating the level of competition for members by providing the best platform and tools to develop athletes and programs.

“The NAIA has been a great partner for us, with a history of creating opportunities for programs and student-athletes to excel,” said Greg Nelson, VP and General Manager at Hudl. “The athletic department package is Hudl’s way of preparing every team to compete at the highest level with video, data, recruitment and capture tools. It’s built around saving coaches time and energy so they can focus on coaching the sport they have committed their life to.”
