10 ADs, One Mission. Introducing the Hudl AD Council

2 min Read

Athletic directors are asked to do a lot.

Manage budgets that don't stretch far enough. Oversee schedules that keep getting more complicated. Support coaches, student-athletes, and families, all at once. And then, on top of all of it, figure out which tools and platforms are actually worth their time.

ADs don't often get a say in that last part. Technology gets built, decisions get made, and the people who use those tools every day, running programs, balancing compliance, and keeping everything moving, are handed a product after the fact and asked to make it work.

We’re here to change that.

Introducing the Hudl AD Council

We’re excited to introduce the inaugural class of the Hudl AD Council: 10 high school athletic directors from across the country, brought together to have a real seat at the table.

These are ADs who are actively running programs, thinking critically about where high school athletics is headed, and ready to provide the real talk on what's missing. They were invited because of the trust they've earned in their buildings, their conferences, and their communities.

They'll meet throughout the year, with three virtual sessions and one in-person gathering at the National Athletic Directors Convention in December 2026, to share what's working in their programs, surface what isn't, and help shape what Hudl builds and prioritizes next.

"I’m honored that Hudl felt I had something to offer this council and grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside other ADs. I’m excited to grow my understanding of the platform, maximize its value for our coaches, and contribute ideas that can make the work of athletic directors more manageable." Shelley Moore, Assistant Principal & Athletic Director, Newport High School (OR)

Why This Matters

Hudl powers athletic programs across the country, from varsity football to wrestling to the spreadsheet an AD uses to manage their department. We're in the business of making programs better. And that means we have a responsibility to actually listen to the people running them.

The AD Council is how we put that into practice.

Every conversation, every piece of feedback, every challenge these 10 ADs bring to the table shapes what we prioritize, what we build, and how we show up for athletic departments everywhere. Their input goes directly to Hudl leadership across product, sales, marketing, and partnerships.

What’s to Come

The inaugural council is just the start. We're committed to growing this program by hearing from more voices, deepening the conversations, and continuing to build the kind of community that high school ADs have always deserved but rarely had.

If you're an AD and want to be considered for a future cohort, we want to hear from you.
