Hudl and Black Bear Sports Group Announce Strategic Partnership to Expand Access and Enhance Value for Hockey Teams
The partnership brings NCDC, USPHL and all Black Bear TV content to the Hudl Instat platform.
Lincoln, Nebraska, August 20, 2025 - Hudl and Black Bear Sports Group (BBSG) are excited to announce a strategic partnership that expands access to top-tier hockey content. The two will provide enhanced visibility and exposure for all teams within the BBSG network.
This season, all Black Bear TV content—including games from the Tier I Hockey Federation, Atlantic Hockey Federation, National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) and the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL)—will now be available on the Hudl Instat platform. This integration gives scouts and teams unprecedented access to some of the best club hockey content in North America, enhancing scouting capabilities and player evaluation processes.
The partnership will expand content accessibility, and Hudl will offer preferred pricing to BBSG teams. Any team playing games streamed on Black Bear TV this season will have access to full game breakdowns via Hudl Instat, providing detailed analysis and insights that support both player development and recruitment activities.
The partnership, along with Hudl’s recent acquisition of SportContract, deepens Hudl's investment in hockey and builds on the company's commitment to deliver solutions built for hockey teams. Tens of thousands of teams and players rely on the power of Hudl’s suite of tools every season, and this partnership with Black Bear Sports Group further strengthens the hockey ecosystem by bringing more video and data to more teams and scouts across North America.
"We’re thrilled to enter into this strategic partnership. Hudl and Black Bear Sports Group share a commitment to growing the sport of hockey by providing opportunities for player development. By adding this important content to our portfolio, USPHL and teams on BBTV will have access to industry-leading analysis, and we’ll better serve the recruitment needs of teams interested in monitoring the development of these athletes," said Chris Leazier, Senior Market Director at Hudl. "Hudl is uniquely positioned to serve every level of the sport, from youth to the top professional leagues, and this collaboration brings the power of our ecosystem to more teams and athletes.”
In addition to broader content availability, Hudl is excited to offer preferred pricing for all Black Bear teams, ensuring access to professional-grade analysis tools at competitive rates.
"We’re excited to partner with Black Bear TV to help increase exposure for their athletes and all teams competing in Black Bear rinks this season,” said Matt Miller, who oversees Club Hockey at Hudl. “With all Black Bear TV content now available on the Instat platform, teams will have access to detailed game breakdowns—unlocking new opportunities for player development and visibility to scouts around the world.”
"At Black Bear TV, we are committed to giving players the exposure and opportunities they need to reach the next level," said Tony Zasowski, Vice President of Black Bear Events and Black Bear TV. "By partnering with Hudl and bringing our game content onto the Instat platform, we’re making it easier for scouts and coaches to evaluate our athletes. This collaboration is about helping players showcase their abilities and creating more pathways for them to advance in their hockey careers."
The integration of Black Bear TV content into the Instat platform represents a significant expansion of available hockey content, providing scouts and teams with detailed game footage and analysis capabilities that support informed decision-making and comprehensive player evaluation processes.
