Hudl & AfriSportPro Form Partnership

3 min Read

Lincoln, Nebraska, 28 May 2025 - Hudl, a global leader in sports performance analysis and scouting, and AfriSportPro—Africa’s biggest youth league system and talent scouting platform that connects Africa’s best talent to the rest of the world—have announced a new collaboration for scouting rights to AfriSportPro competitions.

The 2025–26 season agreement will include all competitions from the AfriSportPro Youth League. Hudl will gain access to the related video and data from these competitions, which will all be made available for professional purposes via Wyscout—the world's largest database of football video and data.

The AfriSportPro Youth League is designed to provide value to every stakeholder in the football development ecosystem:

  • Players: Beyond competitive matches, participants receive professional coaching, performance data and verified profiles that can be shared with scouts and clubs worldwide.
  • Academies: The league provides a professional platform to showcase their development programs, gain recognition and potentially establish partnerships with larger clubs.
  • Coaches: They gain access to educational resources, networking opportunities and a platform to demonstrate their ability to develop talent.
  • Scouts and agents: With reliable data and verified profiles, they’re able to be more efficient and transparent in talent identification.
  • Professional clubs: A structured pipeline of vetted talent reduces recruitment costs and risks.
  • Fans and media: There are compelling stories of emerging talent and the opportunity to follow the next generation of African stars from their earliest stages.

“Our commitment is to empower coaches, players and teams with cutting-edge analysis tools,” said Hudl’s Federica De Peron. “This collaboration with AfriSportPro is exciting, as it enables us to further extend our expertise to the Nigerian football market.”

“I am excited to be leading this revolution in Africa’s youth football,” said Chukwuebuka Ugwu, Founder and CEO of AfriSportPro. “I was a football player with hopes—but like many others, I failed. Not for lack of talent or dedication, but because of the lack of a structured league system and a platform like Wyscout that can give visibility to talent wherever they maybe. Partnering with Wyscout is a big opportunity to fulfill our promise of giving visibility to top talent across Africa.”

About AfriSportPro

Launching with 6 pilot states across Nigeria, the AfriSportPro Youth League features 72 football academies and more than 1,500 U19 players, making it one of the most ambitious youth football projects in the world. This scale ensures deep reach into local communities while setting a new standard for grassroots football development. This foundational phase is setting a strong precedent for scalable, replicable youth development models across the continent.

With future plans to expand beyond the initial 6 states to reach more regions within Nigeria and gradually scale across Africa, our goal is to develop a pan-African youth football ecosystem that identifies, nurtures and showcases homegrown talent at every level.
