To solve this often seen challenge on the training ground, we have updated all Hudl Focus solutions with a new feature that gives users precise control over their camera’s view, empowering them to tailor their video capture to meet their unique training and development needs.

Introducing Remote Control: Capture Training Sessions your Way

The new Remote Control feature allows you to take full manual control of any of your Hudl Focus cameras whenever you want.

Instantly swing to the exact spot you want to capture by effortlessly adjusting the camera’s perspective on the fly. Zoom in on the details that matter without affecting the other automated filming angles – all from the palm of your hand with your smartphone’s Focus App.

Teams can combine this dynamic view with their existing static or tactical feeds for richer, more flexible analysis. This capability lets everyone, from practice squads to game-day analysts, adapt footage in real time without any extra hardware or setup. Remote control doesn’t replace your tactical angle – it amplifies it.

To get the update, users will need CamOS 14.11 and Focus App (3.70) versions or higher and then they are free to either schedule a recording or start recording right away. The remote control option will be part of the set of options in the main screen while recording along with “Extend” and “Stop”.
