Hudl to be the official livestreaming partner for both ECNL and ECNL Regional Teams U15 and older, including a League-wide Exchange for ECNL Teams 15 and older, and a National Event Video Portal for ECNL Regional Teams U15 and older.

LINCOLN, NEB. 26 September, 2024- The ECNL and Hudl are excited to expand their partnership, making Hudl the provider of all video content, livestreaming all national games which will be available on ECNLTV powered by Hudl. Beginning this fall, Hudl’s existing League-wide Video Exchange for U15 and older ECNL teams, will expand to also include a National Event Video Portal for Regional teams ages U15 and older. This portal will provide all Regional League teams with a convenient platform to house video, and make the experience for all ECNL clubs easy and consistent across all levels.

“We are beyond excited to grow our partnership with ECNL to include the ECNL Regional League,” said Rachel Krasnow, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Hudl. “It has been amazing to watch the expansion of the ECNL since we launched our partnership, and we are so happy to work alongside them to provide better access for fans, and a stronger player pathway helping athletes across the ECNL and ECNL RL make every moment count.”

“Continuing to enhance the ECNL Regional League platform through the addition of Hudl livestreaming and video recording at National Events is another milestone in the league's strategic growth plan, providing significant support to players in the college recruitment process and coaches in their ability to further develop players through video analysis", said ECNL Regional League Commissioner, Chris Leahey. "Our partnership with Hudl continues to improve the ECNL experience for all clubs, families, scouts, and fans, making the game more accessible and enjoyable."

Hudl and ECNL are expanding ECNLTV to now include film of all U15 and older ECNL Regional League events, in addition to all U15 and older ECNL events, providing visibility and exposure for all players within the ECNL Regional League – no matter where they are across the country.

Going into this season, Hudl will host ECNLTV livestreaming destination sites for ECNL Girls, ECNL Boys, ECNL Regional League Boys and ECNL Regional League Girls. Each site will have their own destination page connected to the ECNL hub, so fans can easily access the streams and games they want to watch.

Earlier this year, Hudl Focus Flex cameras captured the ECNL Girls’ and ECNL Boys’ National Playoffs. Over 11 days, Focus Flex cameras capture more than 1,200 games, with each match uploaded and broken down by Hudl Assist for all teams. In total, this service saved ECNL clubs nearly 5,000 total hours of manual work, while providing teams a comprehensive analytics breakdown of every game.

Hudl, ECNL and Nutmeg Sports Media—a sports videography company—are excited to continue this for the upcoming season, capturing those games and uploading film directly to the league exchange immediately after games. Teams at U15 and older ECNL or ECNL Regional League Events will no longer need to travel with their cameras to these destinations, as Hudl and Nutmeg Sports will coordinate the recording and uploading of film for all competing teams.

ECNL U15 and older teams are already successfully sharing film through a league-wide video exchange. This platform is a free video library designed to allow teams to share footage, making it easier than ever to access their content. Coaches and athletes now have greater access to scout video on any device to better prepare for gameday. Educational webinars and other resources will be distributed to ensure every team is set up for success.

New this season, ECNL Regional League teams will have access to a National Event Video Portal for all ECNL Regional League National Event games at U15 and older. This will be a free and easy-to-use video library that allows users to access their content.

About ECNL :

The ECNL was founded in 2009 as a challenge to the status quo of youth soccer, with a vision to be better. In its first years, the league supported only girls programming, but that was to change. As a result of grassroots collaboration and innovation driven by youth soccer leaders all around the country, the ECNL quickly rose to national prominence – and ultimately to be the top level of competition and player development in the country. Each step was fueled by a shared commitment to elevating the youth soccer experience. From inception, the ECNL consistently developed in alignment with the needs of its member clubs, always seeking opportunities to lead and provide more, no matter the challenge or adversity. The four letters “ECNL” have become the embodiment of collaborative innovation, opportunity, respect, development, and excellence in youth soccer, as the once-radical idea of clubs having a voice to determine their future proved to produce results never before seen in youth soccer. Unrivaled numbers of female players, of constantly improving quality, began moving on to the collegiate, professional, and national team levels as the ECNL impact changed youth soccer. In 2017, the landscape again demanded more and the ECNL Boys was founded, setting the stage for an amazing period of rapid growth, increasing quality and further change in youth soccer. Starting with 57 of the top boys clubs in the country, the creation of the Boys ECNL once again demonstrated how a total commitment to improving the experience of players, coaches, clubs, and the environment in which they develop, can change everything. Today, the ECNL represents the epitome of excellence in youth soccer, for boys and girls, as the league and its clubs, players, coaches, and everyone involved seeks to constantly “Raise the Game” for the future.
