Who: Jay Bilas, college basketball analyst for ESPN

The Story: If you’re a basketball fan, chances are Bilas has taught you a thing or two.

Bilas may be best known for his work as an analyst at ESPN, but he also puts in time as a Nike skills instructor and director at the Jay Bilas Skills Camp.

Outside of x’s and o’s, Bilas also educates the sports world about humility.

Although Bilas knows he has a platform to voice his opinion and insights, he understands there are far more influential people in the basketball world than him, they just don’t have the microphone. Bilas tries to celebrate coaches and teachers who, in his mind, are far more deserving of attention and recognition.

“Someone helped me, so it’s my obligation and privilege to help someone else. I can’t fix everything, but I can help in my little pocket of the world.” – Jay Bilas
