Help is now available so you can get started with scripting and enhance your current workflows.
To help users maximize Hudl Sportscode’s scripting capabilities, a range of new resources has been developed.
Scripting, in its basic form, is when a user creates some code in Sportscode so that statistics and supporting video are automatically generated with minimal clicks.
Lance Du’Lac, an experienced Sportscode user of 18 years and a member of the Hudl team, has worked on this exciting project.
“Scripting is what really sets Hudl Sportscode users apart,” he said. “To unleash the power of Sportscode you need to be doing scripting but getting started can be daunting. It’s really difficult and time-consuming to know where to begin, and we all know that the one thing that analysts and coaches don’t have a lot of time!”
“That’s why we’ve created these resources that we think will really help users get started.”

Lance is confident that with this new support, the absolute beginner can start their scripting journey almost straight away.
“What the team has created really breaks down some of the common workflows so they can be built in ten minutes or less, and once you get going you’ll soon have the confidence to build more and more.”
The resources aren’t just aimed at users new to scripting though. “Even those that would class themselves as advanced scriptors will learn something new in here, I guarantee it.” Lance continued. “We’ve over 90 scripts that can be built and I’d urge all Hudl Sportscode users to really dive in here and take a good look.”
