Lesson 3:   The Dos and Don’ts of Recording

  1. Do use a tripod to keep video stable.

  2. Don’t expect someone to be able to hold a camera steady for 90 minutes.

  3. Do record at mid-field from a high vantage point. 

  4. Don’t make viewers dizzy by constantly zooming in and out. 

  5. Do pause at halftime. 

  6. Don’t stop recording at dead balls. 

  7. Do capture jersey numbers and referee signals.

  8. Don’t lose your view of the field, athletes and referees.

  9. Do get shots of the scoreboard throughout the match.
