General/Overview

Hudl Assist is the fastest, easiest way to get the data you need to Win Together. It gives you detailed team and individual stats, with every data point linked directly to video. That means no more manual tagging, just reports, automatic athlete playlists, and highlight reels that show your team exactly what happened on the field or court.

The price is based on a few factors: your sport, your level of play, and whether you want to include opponent scouting data. We encourage you to contact us for more details.

You can send your game to Assist during your upload process or after the video has been added to your library—either from your iOS device or from your computer. You’ll fill in details about your game—like jersey colors, which athletes played, and the final score —and then our team gets the alert that your game is ready to tag. We'll send you a notification as soon as the game data is available to view.

Hudl Assist tags both team and athlete stats, and the details depend on your sport. For a full list of data available to your sport, check out the following:

Check out these steps for editing Assist tags. Making edits will automatically update any connected data on your Reports page.

Hudl Assist uses a combination of professional human analysts and, in some sports, advanced AI technology to tag every key moment. This provides teams with a comprehensive set of data and reports.

You’ll need to follow the required recording workflow for your sport. This guarantees you capture the entire playing surface and all the additional information we need to tag your video, like officials’ signals.

Team Admins and Coaches can submit games to Assist. Once the breakdown is complete, everyone on the team—including athletes—will be able to view the tags on the video and the data in the Reports.

For most sports, the core of Hudl Assist relies on a team of trained analysts who manually tag every play, event, and statistic in a video. However, we’ve increasingly integrated artificial intelligence into our services to enhance this process in specific sports.

Yes, you can still view your video while your game is being tagged. You'll want to hold off from adding your own tags, though—any tags you add will be removed once you receive your full breakdown.

Hudl Assist subscriptions come in two types:

  1. Game, which covers your team’s game footage only.
  2. Game and Scout, which covers both your team's game footage and opponent scout footage.

All teams can submit up to three games per 24-hour period to Assist, and for certain sports or parts of the season, Hudl may raise that limit.

No, your Assist subscription applies to your current season.

No, both teams must submit their game video to Hudl Assist independently to get the postgame stats for their team.

Hudl Assist+ builds on the foundation of Hudl Assist by bringing deeper analysis, previously limited to college or professional teams, to all teams. Assist+ is currently only available for football and American football teams.

It happens automatically. After your game is tagged, we use that data to create a custom playlist for every player on your roster. It’s ready to go the moment the breakdown is complete.
