Replace a Volleymetrics Camera

If an Axis product is found to be defective within the warranty period, it is defined as an RMA (Return Material Authorization) claim. This entitles you to have the unit either repaired or replaced. You must always have a Helpdesk case to verify that the unit is authorized for RMA.

All Axis cameras come with at least a 1 year manufacturer warranty (most are 3-5 years). To check if your camera is under warranty please follow these steps.

  1. Make sure you’ve worked with IT or a member of Volleymetrics support to troubleshoot possible defects in the camera. If you’ve determined a more serious issue, proceed with contacting Axis to confirm the device warranty.

  2. Verify the camera serial number or the device’s MAC address:

    • The serial number is printed on the device and on the box the camera came in.
    • If you can boot the camera and log into the device UI, you can find the serial number by clicking on the ? icon in the upper right and then About.
    • If you are having trouble finding the serial number, contact support and we can look it up in your order history.
  3. Create a free account on axis.com.

  4. Use the chat feature or create a case on Helpdesk to get in touch with Axis Support.

Be sure to include the serial number of your device and the troubleshooting you’ve already completed along with other relevant information.

  5. The Axis support agent will validate the serial number and warranty availability.

If your camera is under warranty the Axis support agent will help you to complete the process for a return and replacement of the camera.

If your camera is NOT under warranty and you need a replacement, get in touch with your Volleymetrics sales representative to discuss purchase options for a replacement camera.
