Cloud Clipping

Cloud Clipping clips out certain parts of a broadcast and generate a separate file. This can be useful for clipping out highlights or for promotional material.

Clips can only be up to 5 minutes long.

  1. Navigate to the Broadcast Grid page under Produce.

  2. Go to the Broadcast Details. Using the i icon for the specific broadcast.

    With the Broadcast Details page open, the video player appears on the screen. Play the broadcast and hover over the player. Various icons will appear in the lower right-hand corner.

  3. The cloud clipping icon looks like scissors. Selecting this icon will bring up the cloud clipping tool over the video player. The cloud clipping tool will automatically highlight a ten-second clip prior to where you were just watching.

  4. At the top are the times where the clip starts and ends. At the bottom of the video player, on the scrub bar, are the points where the clip starts and ends.

    The point in yellow is the one you currently have selected, you can drag this points across the scrub bar in order to set where the clip begins and ends.

    A small screen will appear above the clip end point that indicates the last video frame of the clip.

  5. Once it s determined where the clip will start and end, select Preview to play a preview of the clip.

  6. Select Download. The clip can be downloaded as either a .mp4 file, a .gif, or a .mp3 file that is audio-only.

    Depending on which format is selected, the clip will generate and begin downloading locally to your computer.
