Manage Bounding Boxes

This tutorial is specific to our newest product, Hudl Sportscode. If you’re on Sportscode v11, use these resources instead or upgrade today.

A bounding box is an abstract rectangle that acts as a reference point for object detection.

  1. Select any object from the 2D or 3D panel. In this example, we are using connected 3D Discs.

  2. By default, each object will have its own bounding box. You can choose to show or hide the bounding box by clicking on the show/hide object bounding boxes icon.

  3. If you wish to see the bounding box during editing but not during video playback, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Studio > Preferences in the top menu bar.
    2. From the preferences panel choose the User Interface tab.
    3. Uncheck the box next to Show bounding boxes during playback.
    4. Close the preferences panel.
