A deactivation link is used to automatically deactivate a button after activating another linked button. Deactivation links can be created between any combination of code, label, and toggle buttons.

  1. Enter Edit mode in the code window.

  2. Open the inspector for the button that you’d like to have deactivate another button.

Open the Inspector window for any button by double-clicking the button or single-clicking the button and clicking the Inspector icon in the code window toolbar.

  3. In the Behaviour tab, click the Deactivation link drop-down and select the button that you’d like this button to deactivate.

Deactivation links must be created from the button that you’ll activate, and point to the button that you’d like it to automatically deactivate.

  4. Keyboard shortcut: hold Shift + Control and click and drag from the button that you’ll activate, and point to the button that you’d like it to deactivate automatically.

  5. After linking the two buttons with a deactivation link, you’ll see a red line with an arrow between the two buttons.
