Livestream Directly To YouTube

The YouTube livestream can be enabled or disabled for each game. Learn more about setting up your YouTube livestream account.

If you'd like to have the score shown on your livestream, your scoreboard needs to be in the camera’s field of view and turned on during installation.

Upload speeds should be greater than 10 Mbps in order to perform livestreams.

Be sure to update your privacy settings to control where your video appears and who has access to watch it.

Livestream From a Scheduled Event

  1. Open the Hudl Focus app and tap the upcoming recording.

  2. Tap the toggle on if you'd like to livestream this event on your YouTube account.

  3. Tap Update.

  4. Double check that this game will be streamed on YouTube.

  5. Tap Share to send the link to your livestream via text, social media or to copy the URL.

    The YouTube link will not be generated until after the livestream has started.

Livestream From a Scheduled Event on Hudl.com

  1. Click on the Schedule Event you would like to a live stream to.

  2. Select which channel you would like to stream to.

  3. Click Save.

Livestream From an Ad-Hoc Recording

  1. Open the Hudl Focus app and tap the + icon.

  2. Tap Game and enter the event details.

    Only game recordings can be livestreamed.

  3. Tap the toggle if you'd like to livestream this event on your YouTube account.

    If you have more than one YouTube account associated with your Hudl Focus camera be sure to select the correct account.

  4. Tap Add.

  5. Double-check that this game is being streamed on YouTube.

  6. Tap Share to send the link to your livestream via text, social media or to copy the URL.

    The YouTube link will not be generated until after the livestream has started.

Video Playback on YouTube

Hudl Focus streams your video to YouTube in 1080HD. In order to view in 1080HD, you may be required to select the quality when watching the stream on YouTube.
