Connect the External Battery

The external battery has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device (the external battery) is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.

Back-to-back matches? No problem. With a fully charged Focus Flex camera and its additional external battery, you'll have about 8 hours of battery life to record with.

Prior to connecting the external battery, follow these steps to set up Focus Flex.

Connect the External Battery

  1. Before raising the camera, thread the USB-C cable cord through the angle adapter and plug it into the USB-C port on the bottom of the camera.

If you’re using the velcro cable ties for the first time, wrap each tie around a section of the USB-C cable. Thread the end of the tie through its small hole to tighten. These can stay on the USB-C cable permanently, so you can skip this step next time.

  2. Following the Placement Requirements instructions, extend each tripod section until you’ve reached the recommended height. As each tripod section is extended, attach a cable tie to that section.

  3. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the battery. Leave the battery in a secure spot near the base of the tripod.

  4. Your external battery is ready to go.

In rain or wet conditions, protect the battery by placing it in the backpack.

Charge the External Battery

To charge the external battery, use the USB-C charging cable and charger that came with the Focus Flex. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the charger, then into a power outlet. Plug the cable into your external battery to charge. For a full charge, leave the battery charging for four hours.
