Tag Highlights

  1. Log in to Hudl​.com and click Video

  2. Choose a game footage playlist.

    Only game video can be high­light­ed. Practice and oppo­nent scout video can­not be highlighted.

  3. Click the star in the top right cor­ner of the video.

  4. You could also click the star next to the clip of the video you wish to highlight.

    Coaches have the abil­i­ty to restrict high­lights to spe­cif­ic angles (e.g. End Zone). Reach out to your coach­es with questions.

  5. To trim the high­light, select the scis­sor icon and then drag the han­dles until you find the desired length.

  6. To add a spot shad­ow, select the spot shad­ow icon and choose where and when you want the spot shad­ow to appear. Choose the style and size of the spot shadow.

  7. To add text, select the text icon. Choose where you want the text to appear and type direct­ly in the box.

  8. When you’re fin­ished edit­ing your high­light, click Publish

    You can also use fil­ters to quick­ly find clips you want to highlight.

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video in the menu.

  2. Select the game you’d like to tag high­lights for.

  3. Tap the star icon to tag the cur­rent clip as a highlight.

    Only game video can be high­light­ed. Practice and oppo­nent scout video can­not be highlighted.

  4. Select the scis­sor icon to trim the starred clip.

  5. Drag the han­dles from the left or right to trim the clip.

  6. Select the drop shad­ow icon to add the effect

  7. Chose a design from the menu for your drop shad­ow. You can also drag the time­line at the bot­tom to the moment you want to high­light. Drag the spot shad­ow over your­self to show­case the event. Pinch the shad­ow to size it or rotate the arrow.

  8. Select the slo-mo icon to add a slo-mo seg­ment to your clip.

  9. Drag the han­dles from left to right to length­en or short­en the slo-mo seg­ment. Hold the seg­ment and drag to the desired sec­tion of the timeline.

  10. Select the text icon to include a text box on your highlight.

  11. Choose where and when you would like to have the text dis­played on your highlight.

  12. When done, select Publish.

  3. The clips will appear as thumb­nails. Tap any clip to play it in full screen.

  4. Once the clip is in full screen, tap the star to tag the cur­rent clip as a highlight.

  5. Drag the han­dles from the left or right to trim the clip. 

  6. Tap Publish to save highlight.
