Adjusting a Broadcast's Stream Plan

Alter a broadcast's stream plan to stream at a different quality to address issues such as equipment restrictions or network issues.

This change must be made prior to streaming. Once streaming this setting cannot be changed. An adjustment can be made to the Maximum Resolution setting in the Advanced tab of Production Truck in order to lower the maximum resolution being output, which has a similar effect.

These changes only affect BlueFrame Technology software, if using a third-party encoder/software, adjust that device/application's output settings accordingly.

In Production Truck

  1. Navigate up to the Broadcast option in the upper left-hand corner of Production. Select Edit Broadcast. This can also be done when creating the broadcast.

  2. Navigate to the Broadcast's Settings>Plan tab. Adjust the Max Plan Quality setting by selecting an option from the dropdown.

Maximum quality options are based upon the current streaming plan deal with BlueFrame Technology.

  3. Select Save to make those changes. The change will appear in the upper right-hand corner of Production Truck.

On vCloud

  1. To adjust a broadcast's stream plan navigate to the specific broadcast in the Broadcast Grid page. Choose the pencil option in order to Edit the broadcast. This can also be done when creating the broadcast.

  2. Stream Plan settings will be found when navigating down to the Settings tab on the broadcast form shown below.

  3. Select the Max Plan Quality setting dropdown to select a different stream plan quality for that particular broadcast.

Maximum quality options are based upon the current streaming plan deal with BlueFrame Technology.
