Create Clips

  1. Log in to Hudl​.com and click Video.

  2. Click the video thumb­nail you’d like to watch.

  3. Click Create Clip to gen­er­ate a clip.

    A 7-sec­ond clip will be cre­at­ed at the moment in the video where you click Create Clip.

  4. Click the cre­at­ed clip to adjust the duration.

  5. Adjust the dura­tion of the clip by drag­ging the ends clos­er togeth­er or far­ther away.

  6. Click the zoom icon to adjust clips longer than 20 seconds.

  7. When fin­ished, click Save Clip.

  8. Click Send to Highlights to save that clip as a team or ath­lete high­light or click Share in Playlist to save it to a playlist.

    You can cre­ate more than one clip to save as a playlist or high­light. Just click Create Clip to make a new one. 

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video.

  2. Select the video thumb­nail you’d like to watch.

  3. Tap the + icon to gen­er­ate a clip.

    Clips default at sev­en sec­onds in length. The start of the clip will begin four sec­onds pri­or to when the + icon was tapped. 

  4. To view your clips, tap Your Clips

    If your game has not been tagged you will not need to tap Your Clips. They will appear on the right side of your screen.

  5. Tap a cre­at­ed clip to edit it.

    Tap the Select icon to choose mul­ti­ple clips at once. 

  6. Tap the Send to Playlist icon. 

  7. Save the clip to an exist­ing playlist or cre­ate a new one.

  8. Tap the Send to Highlights icon. 

  9. Choose to save that clip as a team or ath­lete high­light.

    Create as many clips as you’d like before send­ing to a high­light or playlist. You can select all cre­at­ed clips at once or select indi­vid­ual ones.

  10. Tap the Scissor icon to adjust the length of the clip.

  11. Adjust the dura­tion of the clip by drag­ging the ends clos­er togeth­er or far­ther away. Tap Done when finished

  12. Tap the Edit Pencil icon to rename the clip. 

  13. Tap the Trash Can icon to delete this clip from the Your Clips menu.

  14. Tap the back arrow to return to the Your Clips menu to con­tin­ue working.
