  1. Open an instance movie. Check out the Watch Instances from the Timeline tutorial for more information on ways to open instance movies.

  2. Click FileSave or press Command + S on your keyboard.

  3. Name your file and choose a save location.

  4. Select the type of video file you want to save. You have four options:

    • Stand alone movie: Opens in Sportscode by default and keeps Sportscode playback features such as overlay text and the ability to tab back and forth between instances.
    • Reference to original movie: Similar to Stand alone movie, but if you delete the original movie package this file will no longer work. This is not recommended for most uses.
    • Movie player stand alone movie: Opens in QuickTime by default, and you will lose Sportscode playback features. Useful for sending an instance movie to someone who does not have Sportscode.
    • Movie player reference to original movie: Similar to a Movie player stand alone movie, but if you delete the original movie package this file will no longer work. This is not recommended for most uses.
  5. Click Save.
