Export Instance Movies with Overlay Text

This tutorial is specific to Sportscode v11. Have Hudl Sportscode, our newest product? Use these resources.

This feature is only available in version 11 or higher. For version 10 or lower, click here. Interesting in Upgrading?

  1. Launch Sportscode and open the instance movie you want to export. Click T on the floating movie controller to display overlay text.

  2. Click File and Export, then select Convert movie fast...

  3. Check Include overlay text.

You can also check the next box to include drawings.

  4. Choose the desired export resolution and frame rate from the drop-down menu. This will differ based on the video and your location. Contact support if you aren't sure which format is right for you.

  5. If you choose, you can reduce the file size using the custom data rate. Simply select the checkbox for custom data rate and set the number you desire. This will also differ based on your video and location. Contact support if you aren't sure which format is right for you.

The default is set to 6000, we recommend staying below that as the quality will not be increased significantly by making it higher (only a larger file size).

  6. Click Save. A window will appear to show the export’s progress.

  7. Once the export is complete, you can share the .mov file.
