Combine Instances from Multiple Movie Packages by Databasing

This tutorial is specific to Sportscode v11. Have Hudl Sportscode, our newest product? Use these resources.

Databasing is a way to combine multiple movie packages into a single movie package. You can only database coded instances, meaning that there will be no uncoded time in a databased movie package. If you want to combine timelines without any instances, use combined timelines.

When you database instances, you'll be creating a standalone file that copies the video from the original timelines. Each time you send instances to a database, the selected instances will appear at the end of the timeline.

  1. Open a movie package containing instances you'd like to database.

  2. Select the instances you'd like to database.

  3. Click the Database icon.

  4. Click New standalone database.

If you are databasing to an existing movie package, click on the file name of that movie package and click Export to.

  5. Name the file and select the save location. Click Save.

  6. Click Yes to add the selected instances to the movie package.

  7. Click OK.

To add additional instances to that same database, close out of the current database, then repeat steps 1-3 and select the name of the database you created earlier.
