Fix Failed Synergy Import Packages using Turbo.264 HD

This tutorial is specific to Sportscode v11. Have Hudl Sportscode, our newest product? Use these resources.

Turbo.264 HD is no longer available from the Mac App Store, we recommend fixing failed imports with HandBrake instead.

  1. Open Finder and locate the Synergy edit folder that won’t import.

Edits downloaded locally are stored by default at Documents/SynergySports/[Synergy User email]/MyEdits.

  2. Select all video files in the edit.

  3. Launch Turbo.264 HD.

  4. Click and drag all selected videos into Turbo.

  5. Change the format to Sportscode HD. If this preset doesn’t appear, you’ll need to add it to Turbo.

For a tutorial on how to add Sportscode-specific presets to Turbo, click here.

  6. Switch the Events toggle to Off.

  7. Switch the toggle to multiple movies.

You can change the location of the export to a specific folder. Go to Turbo.264 HD in the top left, then select Preferences. From here you can change the folder underneath "Save encoded videos in:".

  8. Click Start and wait for the conversion to complete.

  9. Open your Synergy edit’s video folder and select all of the original files.

As a reminder, downloaded Edits locally are stored by default at Documents/SynergySports/[Synergy User email]/MyEdits.

  10. Right-click the selected files and choose Move to Trash.

  11. Select all the converted video files, drop them in the edit’s video folder, and import the Synergy edit into Sportscode.
