Fix Failed Synergy Import Packages with HandBrake

Use this article to solve errors while importing Synergy files.

  1. Launch HandBrake.

    Click here to download the current version of HandBrake.

  2. Click Open Source.

  3. Navigate to the Synergy edit folder in your documents. Inside the edit folder, select videos.

    Edits downloaded locally are stored by default at Documents/SynergySports/[Synergy User email]/MyEdits.

  4. Click Open.

    The selected videos will be loaded into HandBrake. 

  5. In the Destination section, click Browse…

  6. Click New Folder.

  7. Name the folder HandBrake Export and click Create.

  8. Select the Handbrake Export folder and click Save.

  9. From the presets panel, click Fast 720p30. If the presets panel is not visible, click Toggle Presets in the top right.

  10. Click Add To Queue to send the first video into the conversion queue.

  11. Note that the queue now shows one video ready to convert.

  12. Click the Title drop-down and select the second video file.

  13. Click Add To Queue. The queue now shows two videos ready to convert. 

  14. Repeat the last two steps for all videos in the Title drop-down.

  15. Once all videos have been added to the queue, click Queue.

  16. The list of videos ready for conversion will appear. Confirm that all videos from the Synergy edit folder are in the list, then click Start.

  17. The videos will be converted one by one using the 720p30 preset, then exported to the HandBrake Export folder. 

  18. Once all videos have processed, open your Synergy edits video folder and select all of the original files.

  19. Right-click the selected files and choose Move to Trash.

  20. Select all the converted video files and drag them to your Synergy edit folder. Import the Synergy edit into Sportscode as usual.
