Import Data Live from iCoda into a Movie Package

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon on in your menu bar and select Create Network…

  2. Name the network as you’d like, then click Create.

  3. On the iPad using iCoda, tap Settings.

  4. Go to the Wi-Fi section of the settings, and select the new personal network. 

    If the new network doesn’t appear, tap Other… and type in the name manually. Both the computer and iPad should be connected to your newly created local network.

  5. Launch Coda on your computer.

  6. In the top menu bar, click CODA and select Command Centre…

  7. Click Devices.

  8. Launch iCoda on the iPad.

  9. After a few seconds, you’ll see the iPad appear under Devices in the Command Centre on the computer. Click your device.

  10. On your iPad, tap Allow this time only or Allow forever

  11. Click Server.

  12. Switch the center button to ON.

  13. Launch iCoda on your iPad.

  14. Open the form you’d like to use to code.

  15. Tap Online Coding.

  16. Choose the server name you had turned on in the Command Centre.

  17. Tap New Session.

  18. Name your session, then tap Done.

  19. Tap Start.

  20. You’ll see the active coding session in the Command Centre on your computer.

  21. Launch Sportscode, then click File, hover over Import, and select Set Folder for Live XML Import…

  22. Navigate through your user to the Public folder, then to the CODA Sessions folder. Select the folder that matched what you named your coding session, then click choose.

  23. Click Capture and choose Open capture window.

  24. Open a code window on Sportscode and click the Capture mode icon.

  25. Begin coding on the iCoda form. You’ll see your codes populate as the capture continues.
