Sort Timeline Rows Automatically

  1. Open the movie package. In the menu bar, click Rows.

  2. To sort timeline rows alphanumerically, click Sort rows by name.

Rows beginning with numbers sort in lexicographical order, so be sure that numbers have the same amount of digits. [01,02,10] will sort in the expected order while [10, 1, 2] will not.

  3. Colors will be sorted according to the code button color palette, left to right and top to bottom.

  4. To sort timeline rows alphanumerically within each color, click Sort rows by color then name.

  5. To sort the rows in descending order by number of instances, click Sort rows by number of instances.

  6. To invert the current order of the rows, click Sort rows in reverse.

You can also use multiple sorting steps to create custom orders. Ex: Sort by number of instances then by color to see all blue rows by number of coded instances.
