Set Up an iCal Capture

This tutorial is specific to Sportscode v11. Have Hudl Sportscode, our newest product? Use these resources.

iCal capture allows you to schedule a capture for sometime in the future without having to be present at the moment of capture setup. iCal capture is available in Sportscode 10.3.13 or later. If you are setting up a capture to start a short time in the future, you may be better off using the Timer Capture feature.

  1. Launch Sportscode.

  2. Click CaptureOpen capture window.

  3. Set your capture up using your preferred capture device. For more information on setting up a live capture, check out the Set Up a Live Capture - Blackmagic Mini Recorder article.

  4. Close the capture window.

  5. Click CaptureiCal Capture.

  6. Name your file. This will be the name of the movie package.

  7. Set the date for the capture using the calendar.

  8. Set the start time.

  9. Set the duration for the capture by setting the end time or by using the duration slider.

  10. Click Add to iCal.

If you're going to be away from the computer for an extended period, make sure to change your Energy Saver system preferences to have the screen never turn off when plugged in.

  11. The Mac Calendar application may launch, and you'll see a new event on your calendar at the time you chose for the iCal capture.
