Pay-Per-View Setup - Access Passes

Using templates you can use Access Passes that control how pay-per-view is setup on broadcasts.

This is primarily for groups of broadcasts or broadcasts over a period of time. If looking to set up Pay-Per-View for an individual broadcast, please see the following: Pay-Per-View Setup - Individual Broadcast

Create an Access Pass

  1. Navigate up to Access>Access Passes.

  2. On that page, you can see any active Access Pass associated with your account. To create a new Access Pass, navigate up and select Operations, then Create Pass from Template.

  3. Select an Access Pass template that is best suites your needs.

Pay Per View Pass

  1. This type of Access Pass will put pay-per-view on each broadcast that meets the criteria. Each broadcast will be an individual purchase.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.

  2. Then scroll down and enter the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  3. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. If you wish for viewers to not purchase after the season is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  4. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

Once an Access Pass is submitted, a BlueFrame Support Representative will ensure the pass is correct and activate it.

Tournament Pass

  1. Put pay-per-view on a group of broadcasts, such as those in a tournament. The viewer will purchase this once and will receive access to all broadcasts included.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.

  2. Navigate down. If not already done, set up the Playlist. Click on the Open Create Playlist Page in New Window to set up a new playlist. Need info on creating playlists, please see the following: Creating and Utilizing Playlists.

  3. Scroll down and enter the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  4. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the tournament is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  5. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

Once your Access Pass is submitted, a BlueFrame Support Representative will ensure the pass is correct and activate it.

Season Pass

  1. Put pay-per-view on a group of broadcasts that fall under a certain section. The viewer will purchase this once and receive access to all broadcasts included.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

  2. Navigate down and enter the sections this pay-per-view applies to. For example, if this is a football season pass enter football.

    Select a season Start Date and End Date. Any broadcasts that fall between these dates will be included.

  3. Select how long the viewer has access. If the season is three months long, select that amount of time.

  4. Scroll down and enter the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  5. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the tournament is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  6. Navigate down. If not already done, set up the Playlist. Click on the Open Create Playlist Page in New Window to set up a new playlist. Need info on creating playlists, please see the following: Creating and Utilizing Playlists.

Once your Access Pass is submitted, a BlueFrame Support Representative will ensure the pass is correct and activate it.

Day Pass

  1. Give viewers access to your content for 24 hours.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.

  2. The 24-hour access option will automatically be selected and cannot be changed. For another time limit option, navigate back and select another Access Pass template.

  3. Scroll down and enter the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  4. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the season is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  5. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

Once your Access Pass is submitted, a BlueFrame Support Representative will ensure the pass is correct and activate it!

Yearly Pass

  1. Give viewers access to your content for an entire year.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.

  2. The 12-month access option will automatically be selected and cannot be changed. For another time limit option, navigate back and select another Access Pass template.

  3. Scroll down and enter in the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  4. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the season is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  5. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

Once your Access Pass is submitted, a BlueFrame Support Representative will ensure the pass is correct and activate it.

Recurring Subscription

  1. A recurring subscription automatically charges viewers monthly for access to content.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.


  2. Scroll down and if you wish to only make it so viewers can access either live or on-demand content. Leave them both enabled to give them access to both.

    You can also alter the time for how long the viewers will have access and when they will be charged again. We would recommend keeping this at one month, like other services.

  3. Scroll down and enter the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  4. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the season is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  5. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

Generic Pass

  1. Allows customization to the length of time viewers are given access.

    Select the Site (school/organization) for the pay-per-view to be applied. Type in the name of the organization and select it from the dropdown.

    Enter the sections for this pay-per-view to apply to. For example, for the pay-per-view to be only on Football broadcasts, enter football. Leave this blank for it to apply to all broadcasts.

  2. Scroll down and choose whether viewers have access to either live or on-demand content. Leave them both enabled to give access to both.

    Customize how long to give viewers access; hours, days, weeks, or months.

  3. Scroll down and enter in the following that the viewer will see:

    • Title
    • Description
    • Price
  4. The purchase end date will be the date that the access pass is no longer available to purchase. For example, if you wish for viewers to not purchase after the season is over, you would enter in that date. Leave it blank for it to be applied indefinitely.

  5. Select Show Summary and a summary of the Access Pass will show. If everything is correct, navigate in the lower right-hand corner and select Submit for Approval.

FAQs

What types of Access Passes do you have?

Our Access Pass system is very flexible, you can really create whatever kind of pass you want for fans! We have some templates for; single event passes, season passes, yearly passes, monthly subscriptions, etc.

How many Sections can I elect to have on an Access Pass?

There is no limit to how many sections you can select. If you leave the sections area blank, it will apply to all sections.

How do I cancel a Pass?

You can edit the Access Pass and change the Available to Purchase field to No, this will make the pass no longer available to purchase. If no one has purchased the Access Pass, you can also delete it.

Why does my Access Pass have to be approved?

Our Access Passes are very flexible! We would hate to have an Access Pass set up incorrectly and for there to be a misunderstanding from fans on what content they are receiving from their purchase.

Can I create my own Promo code? Can I send a complimentary Pass?

At this time, our Support team must create promo codes and complimentary passes. You will need to reach out to our Support Team to have those created.

Why isn't my promo Code working for users?

Make sure your promo code is active! Please edit the Access Pass, under the Promo Code field, and ensure that the promo code is selected.
