NDI Integration
NDI is an integration we have within Production Truck that allows you to wirelessly; use camera/audio source inputs, output a program feed, and output/input overlays.
Note: In all of these instances, the devices must be on the same network. Deep NDI integration is only available on the Mac version of Production Truck. To see bringing in NDI sources via Windows, please click here.

Using NDI on Mac Production Truck
Output a Program Feed

In order to output a program feed wirelessly from Production Truck, download NDI Tools on Computer B. Specifically, you will need to download NewTek NDI Video Monitor.

Within Production Truck on Computer A, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Program Output select NDI Output as the source.

On Computer B, open up NewTek NDI Video Monitor.

Navigate up to the MacOS navigation bar at the top and select File>Computer A>PT Program Output 1.
Program feed from Production Truck populates on the Video Monitor on Computer B.
Output a Program Feed to Another Production Truck

If wanting to split up the duties of what needs to be done in Production Truck you can output a program feed of one computer running Production Truck into another. This can be useful for having one person do camera switching or replays and another do overlays or other duties.

Within Production Truck on Computer A, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Program Output select NDI Output as the source.

Within Production Truck on Computer B, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Camera Source, select the name of Computer A. The program feed from Computer A should be seen.
Normal Production Truck operations can be done on Computer B and streamed from there!
Bringing Custom Overlays into Production Truck

it is possible to use custom overlays from third-party software and bring them into Production Truck. The other software will need to be capable of outputting the overlays via NDI.

Output the overlays on Computer A via NDI.

Within Production Truck on Computer B, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Overlay Input, select the name of Computer A. Overlays from Computer A should now be visible.

If you are not seeing your NDI device, please ensure Search for NDI Devices is enabled and your computer has the latest version of NDI downloaded.
Toggle the overlays from Computer A within Production Truck by selecting the Overlay and Clear options within Production Truck.
There is not a preview feed of the overlay.
Production Truck operations on Computer B are now available allowing streaming from there!
Output Production Truck Overlays

Production Truck's overlays can be output so they are displayed on another computer's software allowing control of the overlays within Production Truck.

Within Production Truck on Computer A, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Overlay Output, select NDI Output.

Within the software on Computer B is an option to input the overlays being sent from Production Truck. Any Overlay on the program feed within Production Truck will be output.
Note: This can also be done with another instance of Production Truck, so overlays are done by the person operating Computer A, and on Computer B other Production Truck duties, including the stream itself, are done.
Using NDI HX Camera App as a Camera Source

Download and use NDI HX Camera Application via Newtek NDI to use your mobile device as a camera.

Download the NDI HX Drivers on the computer. This can be done within Production Truck. Navigate to the top MacOS bar and select Help>Download Links>NDI HX driver. Go through the download process.

Once you have downloaded the app and opened it on your device, navigate back to Production Truck. As long as the computer and mobile device are on the same network, the device will appear automatically as a source option within Production Truck. It will be labeled as the name of the device.

Selected it as a camera source to see a live feed from the device. Audio from the device can be brought in by selecting it as an audio source under Audio 1.

Various aspects of the camera can be changed using the options under the Settings icon on the NDI HX Camera App.
Using NDI on Windows Production Truck
Bringing in an NDI Source

In order to output a program feed wirelessly from Production Truck, download NDI Tools.

Once this is installed and the NDI device is set up and outputting properly, navigate into Production Truck. Under the Settings area choose Audio/Video. Select the Camera source to bring it in as. Then select the NDI Receiver option.

Under the Line In option, you will see a list of all the NDI options available on the network. Select the source to use from the dropdown.
Note: After selecting the NDI receiver as a source option it may take a few seconds for the Line In options to correctly populate as sources are searched for.
That source will then begin populating in that camera field on Production Truck.
