To use a camera with Production Truck, you will need a capture device, you cannot plug a camera directly into a computer through an HDMI connection. See our recommendations. These cameras output via HDMI or both HDMI and SDI.

  • We recommend the GoPro Hero 7 Black because it has a built-in HDMI port. If you utilize a newer GoPro without an HDMI port, you must also use a GoPro Media Mod to connect it to a capture device.

Audio Mixers

Mixers connect to the computer running Production Truck via USB or Thunderbolt. All of the following mixers, allow for at least 2 audio inputs.

Headsets can be used for commentators and connect to an audio mixer or directly to the computer.

FAQs

I have a camera that is not on this list, can it be used with Production Truck?

Most cameras can be used with Production Truck, as long as it is able to output via either HDMI or SDI to a capture device.

I have an audio device that is not on this list, can it be used with Production Truck?

Many audio devices can be used with Production Truck, these are just our recommendations! To verify whether your audio device can be used with Production Truck, if the device appears as an audio input on your computer's Settings, it is likely it can be used with Production Truck.

The audio mixer I'm using cannot output via USB, can I still use it with Production Truck?

If your audio mixer is able to output via XLR, you can use the above XLR to USB adapter to convert the signal and connect it to the computer running Production Truck.
