Sportzcast ScoreBot Cloud & Local Connection & Disabling Fields

Production Truck allows for both the cloud and local connection of a Sportzcast Scorebot system in order to automate scoring duties to be controlled via the ScoreBot. This can be helpful in freeing up valuable time and effort when producing a broadcast.

Note: Sportzcast systems require network ports between 1400-1405 to be opened in order to function. These are different than the ports that BlueFrame products and services utilize.

Local Connection

  1. If attempting to connect a Sportzcast ScoreBot over a local connection, grab the IP Address from the ScoreBot system and then plug it into Production Truck.

On the main screen of the Sportzcast ScoreBot, an IP Address will be displayed. An example of an IP Address would be as follows: 172.16.254.1.

  2. From Production Truck, navigate to the gear icon in the center. Choose the Scoreboard tab. Then from the Source dropdown, select Sportzcast ScoreBot Local. Input the IP Address from the ScoreBot in the IP Address Field. Select Connect. The Status indicator at the bottom should change to Connected to Bot.

  3. Under Detected Sport, choose the sport to display. Fields below that area will populate with various pieces of data such as: Home Score, Guest Score, Quarter, etc.

Cloud Connection

  1. In order to connect to a Sportzcast Scorebot via a cloud connection, first register for a Sportzcast account. Access to this account is necessary to go forward. The link to sign into your account can be found here.

  2. Once logged in, select your bot from the Bot field dropdown in the top right-hand corner of their site. By clicking on the bot and selecting profile to the right, you can verify it is active. By just clicking on the bot, you can see what data is being received and if it is updating properly.

It is important to verify that the Sportzcast website is receiving data, as this is where Production Truck will grab the data from. If they are not receiving the data, Production Truck will not either.

  3. In Production Truck, navigate to the gear icon in the center and choose the Scoreboard tab. From the Source dropdown, select Sportzcast ScoreBot Cloud. Input Username and Password for Sportzcast login. Input the Bot number from the Sportzcast website.

Note: Channel number is usually '0'.

  4. Select Connect. The Status indicator at the bottom should change to Connected to Bot and Detected Sports and data fields begin to populate.

Disable Fields

Disable Fields

In some cases, a particular field may not be wanted. This allows you to utilize our control panels to manually input various information such as team names, quarters, timeouts, etc.

  1. In Production Truck, navigate to the gear icon in the center and choose the Scoreboard tab. Navigate down to where the various fields are listed as being brought in through the Sportzcast Scorebot. Simply click the Enabled checkbox next to the respective field. If it is unchecked, it will not be controlled by the Scorebot.

  2. Bring up a control panel or other overlay to manually control these inputs. They will no longer be automatically changed due to automation.
