Displaying a Scoreboard from an External Application Source

Picture in Picture allows for the placement of a secondary camera source over the top of the main camera source. This can also be used in conjunction with the Screen Capture feature to display stats or a scoreboard from another service.

This feature is currently only available for Production Truck on Mac.

  1. To enable Screen Capture within Production Truck, navigate to Preferences (the gear icon in the middle of Production Truck). Then navigate to Audio/Video and select the camera source you wish to populate with the screen capture.

In the Source dropdown, Screen Capture will be one of your options by default.

  2. By default, Screen Capture will begin to capture the entire screen, but this can be changed.

The Screen Capture extension has its own control panel, which will need to be brought up. Go up to the bar at the top of your screen and select Extras then Screen Recorder - Beta.

  3. This will open up a small box that gives the Screen Capture extension some options.

Utilize the Draw View option to capture a specific part of the screen, such as where the scoreboard or stats are being displayed.

  4. See how it will be displayed within Production Truck.

  5. Bring it in via Picture-in-Picture. Go to Extras in the top menu bar of Production Truck and select PIP. This will open the Picture in Picture window.

  6. At the top of the window, select your source. Select Screen Capture - Beta, from the dropdown. Freely move and adjust the scoreboard's location in the Output area below.

Click Add. You should then see that within Production Truck.

  7. The scoreboard is being captured on your screen and displayed in Production Truck like below.
