Display Program Out to Monitor
Displaying the program out to a monitor can be done in Production Truck in a few ways; either via a wired connection, through a device or via NDI where supported.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Program Output is currently only available on the Mac version of Production Truck.
Using a Wired UltraStudio Monitor
-
Use an UltraStudio Monitor 3G or UltraStudio Mini Monitor from Blackmagic Design.
-
Plug UltraStudio Mini Monitor or UltraStudio Monitor 3G into the computer running Production Truck via Thunderbolt and then connect to the monitor via an SDI or HDMI cable.
Navigate within Production Truck to the Preferences menu, the gear icon in the center, and under Audio/Video, select Program Output 1.
Select the UltraStudio Mini Monitor or UltraStudio Monitor 3G.
The program feed is now outputting to the monitor.
Wireless through NDI
-
In order to output a program feed wirelessly from Production Truck, download NDI Tools on Computer B. Specifically, download NewTek NDI Video Monitor.
Since this is occurring wirelessly there may be some significant delay in the program feed on computer B.
-
Within Production Truck on Computer A, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Select NDI Output as the source option.
-
On Computer B, open NewTek NDI Video Monitor.
-
Navigate up to the MacOS navigation bar at the top and select File, then select Computer A, and select PT Program Output 1.
The program feed from Production Truck populates on the Video Monitor on Computer B.
