Audio-Only Broadcasts

Within Production Truck, you can stream an Audio-Only broadcast, where no video element via a camera is needed in order to stream.

The Audio-Only Setting will only apply to Production Truck produced broadcasts. Broadcasts sent through third-party broadcasting software/hardware will display both audio and video.

Image as a Camera Source (Mac)

  1. To begin, Create a Broadcast. Include that the broadcast will be audio-only in the title or description.

As broadcasts are displayed to the viewer via a video player, some video elements will need to display. Within Production Truck, add a static image from the computer as this element.

  2. Within Production Truck's Preferences, navigate to Devices. Select the plus icon to add a device, or in this instance an image.

  3. Change the device group to Image (From File).

  4. Select Open on the right-hand side. Select the image to use and click Add.

  5. The file should show in the Devices area of the Preferences menu if added correctly.

  6. To bring that image in as any other camera source, navigate to Audio/Video, select a Camera, and then select the image from the Source options to the right.

There is now an image as a camera source!

With an image of a camera source, you can now go live without Production Truck requiring any sort of actual video source.
