Tag Team and Athlete Highlights (Computer)

Create Highlights from Game Video.

Create highlights from a playlist.

Create Highlights from Game Video

  1. Log in to Hudl.com and click Video.

  2. Select the game you'd like to use for highlights.

  3. Click the star icon to highlight a moment from the video.

    The highlight will automatically clip 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after you click the star icon. You can edit the highlight from the athlete profile.

  4. Choose whether you'd like to add the clip to the team highlights or an individual athletes' highlight and select Add 1 Clip.

  5. Click Create Clip when you see a moment you want to highlight.

  6. Select the clip.

  7. Drag the handles to shorten or lengthen the clip.

  8. Click Save Clip.

  9. Select any clips you'd like to save as highlights.

  10. Click the Send to Highlights button to add those clips as highlights.

  11. Choose to save your highlight as a team highlight, athlete highlight or both.

  12. Click Add Clips.

Create Highlights from Playlists

  1. Log in to Hudl.com and click Video.

  2. Select the playlist you'd like to use for highlights.

  3. To send all the clips selected to highlights, click Send to Highlights.

  4. Click the star on an individual clip to send a specific clip to highlights.

  5. Choose to save the highlights for the team or an athlete or both.

  6. Click Add Clips.

Create Highlights from the Reports Page

  1. Log in to Hudl​.com and click Reports.

  2. Filter your report to show the stats you’d like to view.

    Need help filtering your report? Check out the options on the left side of the stats report.

  3. When your fil­ters are applied, click the under­lined stat you’d like to use for your playlist.

  4. Click Send to Highlights.

  5. You can choose to send these clips to high­lights for your team, an indi­vid­ual ath­lete, or both. Once select­ed, click Add Clips.

  6. The ban­ner will inform you of the team and/or user that the high­lights were sent to.

Create highlights from a full game or from a playlist.

Create Highlights from Game Video

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video.

  2. Select the game you'd like to use for highlights.

  3. Tap the + icon when you see a moment you'd like to highlight.

  4. Tap the clip you'd like to edit.

  5. Tap Edit.

  6. Drag the handles along the timeline to lengthen or trim the clip.

    Clips automatically generate with a 7-second duration.

  7. Tap Done.

  8. Tap Select and choose which clips you'd like to add as highlights.

  9. Tap the star icon.

  10. Choose to save your highlight as a team highlight, athlete highlight or both.

  11. Tap Add Clips.

    You'll be notified once your highlight has been created.

Create Highlights from Playlists

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video.

  2. Select the playlist you'd like to use for highlights.

  3. Swipe right on any clip you'd like to highlight.

  4. Tap Highlight.

    All highlights created here will automatically show on your team's profile.

  5. Use the toolbar to trim the clip, create a spot shadow or add text.

  6. Once you're finished editing the clip, tap Publish.

Tag Team and Athlete Highlights (Android)

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video.

  2. Select the game you'd like to use for highlights.

  3. When you see a moment you'd like to highlight, tap the star icon.

  4. Tap the scissors icon to trim the highlight.

  5. Drag the handles to trim your highlight.

  6. Tap the circle icon to add a spot shadow or arrow.

    Use the available options to adjust the size, placement and type of drawing.

  7. Choose when the spot shadow or arrow should appear by dragging the icon along the timeline.

  8. Tap Publish.
