Basketball | Tag Video after the Game

  1. Log in to your Hudl account and click Video.

  2. Select the game you'd like to tag.

  3. Click Tags.

  4. Click Tag Manually.

  5. Select whether the game was played in quarters or halves.

  6. Use the drop-down options to select jersey colors for both teams.

  7. Choose the stats you'd like to track.

    These can be changed later, even as you tag. Just click Options.

  8. Click Select Starters to set the lineup for each team.

  9. Add your starters, select the opponent's lineup and click Start Tagging.

  11. Tagging Shot Attempts


    If you chose to track player stats, you can tag an athlete from the current lineup for every attempted shot.

  12. All attempts will also include a shot location to complete a shot chart once you're done tagging.

  13. Choose the shot type or click Skip.

  14. On made shots, the option to tag an assist will appear.

  15. Tagging Inbound Plays


    Click Out of Bounds, then indicate whether the play was Inbound Baseline or Inbound Sideline.

  16. Tracking Substitutions


    Select Sub Athletes when substitutions occur for either team.

    The option to track substitutions is a new feature that's being rolled out to all basketball teams. If you don’t see this option and would like to have it, contact support.

  17. Select the player who left the game, then select the player who came in. Click Done.

  18. Click Stats to view updated team stats as you tag.

  19. Click Save & Exit and Finish Later to pause tagging.

  20. When tagging is complete, select The Game is Over.
