Download Video (Computer)

To keep your video forever, download it from Hudl and save it elsewhere - like your computer or external hard drive. To save storage space, delete the video from Hudl after downloading it.

You can download video on a Mac or a PC.

Only team admins and coaches can download video. Athletes are not able to download video.

Download Video on a Mac

  1. Log in to Hudl.com, then hover over Video and select Manage Library.

  2. Select the video you want to download.

    You can select up to 100 videos at a time. Hold down Shift and Click to select multiple playlists at once.

  3. Select Download.

  4. Choose the file type you'd like and click Download.

    Select the check box to include breakdown data in the download.

  5. When your download is ready, it will be sent in an email. Open it and click the download link to open the video in your Downloads folder.

  6. Choose where you’d like to save the file(s) on your computer, then drag it to that location within the Finder window.

Download Video on a PC

  1. Log in to Hudl.com, then hover over Video and select Manage Library.

  2. Select the video you want to download.

    You can select up to 100 videos at a time. Hold down Shift and Click to select multiple playlists at once.

  3. Select Download.

  4. Choose the file type you'd like and click Download.

    Select the check box to include breakdown data in the download.

  5. When your download is ready, it will be sent in an email. Open it and click the included link to open your video in a zip file under the My Downloads folder.

  6. Right-click on the folder and select Extract or Extract All.

  7. Your video is now ready to move into another program or be saved wherever you need it.

FAQs

I am following the tutorial online, but I don’t see the option to download video. Help!

If you don’t see the option to download the video, this means that you are not a coach on the account. Only coaches and team admins have the ability to download film.

I am an athlete and I want to download film. How do I do that?

Since coaches are the only ones who can download film, we recommend reaching out to your head coach to see if they are willing to download the film for you.

I requested a download, but I still haven’t received an email.

Be sure to check your junk and spam folders. If you still don’t see it, try requesting the download again. Sometimes it can take longer than others to process. If it is taking an unusually long time, please reach out to our Support team for further help.

I need to share a video with an individual that's not on Hudl.

Once you receive your download link via email you'll be able to forward this email to anyone of your choosing for them to view the raw video file.

Download Video (iOS)

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video in the menu.

  2. Select the schedule entry for the game you'd like to download.

  3. Find the video you'd like to download.

  4. Tap and hold until the Available Offline toggle appears.

  5. Swipe the toggle to begin downloading.

  6. Once the download is complete the video will be available offline.

    A green cloud icon will appear on the thumbnail when the video is available offline.
