Manually Upload Video from Hudl Sideline (Windows)
These steps are for manually pulling video from Hudl Sideline. Only use them when Hudl Support has instructed you to do so.

Plug the recording iPad into your computer. The charging cord or adapters will help you connect.

Open iTunes on your computer. If you don't have it installed, click here to download.

Click the iPad icon.
Don't see the iPad icon? Check your iPad's screen to allow the computer to connect.

Click File Sharing.
-
Select Hudl Sideline under Apps.

Under Hudl Sideline Documents, click SidelineGames.

Click Save to...

Create a new folder on your desktop, then save the files to that folder.

There will be a progress bar at the top of iTunes. After it has finished copying, double-check the folder with the files. Make sure all files are in the folder. Once all files are located in the folder, unplug your iPad.

Uninstall the Hudl Sideline app, then reinstall it.

Plug your iPad back into your computer, then open iTunes.

Select the iPad icon.

Click File Sharing.

Select Hudl Sideline under Apps.

Next to the SidelineGames folder, check to make sure it says zero KB in size. If it doesn't, unplug your iPad, then uninstall and reinstall the app again.

Drag and drop the folder you created on your desktop into the Hudl Sideline Documents section in iTunes.

After all files are copied back to the app, you can unplug the iPad, open Hudl Sideline and begin uploading (begin at Step 7).
Manually Upload Video from Hudl Sideline (Mac)
These steps are for manually pulling video from Hudl Sideline. Only use them when Hudl Support has instructed you to do so. Is your Mac running on Catalina? If so click here for instructions relevant to you.

Plug the recording iPad/iPhone into your computer.
The charging cord or adapters will help you connect.

Open "Finder" and select the connected device.

Click Files in the new window

Click on the drop-down for Hudl Sideline.

Drag and drop the file named SidelineGames onto your desktop.

Open the file on your desktop and choose the file to upload.

Log into Hudl.com using your username and password.

Click Upload.
-
Ensure you have the correct team selected and click Select Files.

Choose the file to upload and click Upload.
Catalina Instructions

In the Finder sidebar on your Mac, select your device.
-
Select Trust on your Mac to trust the device. Your device will then also prompt you to tap Trust.

At the top of the Finder window, click Files.

Select the down arrow next to Hudl Sideline.

Drag and drop the file named SidelineGames onto your desktop.

Once you have these files saved to your desktop, uninstall the Hudl Sideline app, then reinstall it.

Plug your iPad back into your computer, and open Finder.

Select your device.

At the top of the Finder window, click Files.

Select the down arrow next to Hudl Sideline.

Next to the SidelineGames folder, check to make sure it says zero KB in size. If it doesn't, unplug your iPad, then uninstall and reinstall the app again.
It also might show that there are no files in the app. This is also good and shows that there are no video files in the app at this time.

Drag and drop the folder you created on your desktop into the Hudl Sideline section in finder.

After all files are copied back to the app, you can unplug the iPad, open Hudl Sideline and begin uploading (begin at Step 7).
