Add Notes and Drawings to Video

Add Notes and Drawings to Video (Computer)

  1. Log in to Hudl.com, then hover over Video and select Library.

  2. Select the game, practice, or opponent scout video.

  3. Find the moment in the video you'd like to:

Add a Drawing

  1. Click the drawing icon and select a line tool.

  2. Click anywhere on the video to add the drawing. It will automatically save and be indicated with a mark in the timeline.

Add a Note

  1. Click the note icon.

  2. Click the note box and start typing your message. It will automatically save and be indicated with a mark in the timeline.

  3. Drag the note box to a different location clicking and dragging the slider icon.

Add a Spot Shadow

  1. Click the circle icon to add a spot shadow.

  2. Click and drag it to the desired location using the slider icon. To make the spot shadow larger or smaller, click and drag the arrow to resize.

Share a Drawing or Note

  1. Click the drawing or note mark in the timeline you want to share.

    This is best used to share single drawings or notes with individuals. If you want to share all drawings or notes on a video, follow these steps.

  2. Click the Share icon.

  3. Select who this drawing or note will be shared with and enter a brief message. Click Share to share the drawing or note.

Delete a Drawing, Note, or Spot Shadow

  1. Click the drawing, note or spot shadow mark in the timeline.

  2. Click the trash can icon.

Add Notes and Drawings to Video (iOS)

  1. Log in to the Hudl app and tap Video in the Menu.

  2. Select the game, practice or opponent scout video.

  3. View your video in full-screen, then find the moment in the video you'd like to:


Add a Drawing

  1. Tap the drawing icon. If you don't see it, tap the icon in the top right, then tap the drawing icon.

  2. Add your drawing. Tap Undo to remove your last motion, or Clear to remove your set of drawings.

  3. Tap the Play button to continue watching video and save your drawing.

  4. Once you've added a drawing, an mark will appear in the video clip's timeline. If you don't see it, tap Show Notes.

Add a Note

  1. Tap the note icon. If you don't see it, tap the icon in the top right, then tap the note icon.

  2. Tap anywhere on the video to make a note box appear.

  3. Type your message and tap Save Note.

  4. Drag the note box to a different location tapping and dragging the slider icon.

  5. To edit the note, simply tap it, make your changes, and tap Save Changes.

  6. Once you've added a drawing, a mark will appear in the video clip's timeline. If you don't see it, tap Show Notes.

  1. To delete a note, tap the mark in the timeline and tap Delete Note.
