Copy Files to Your Desktop (Windows)

To ensure a smooth upload, follow these steps to move AVCHD files from your camera or SD card to your computer before using the web uploader.

Note: Other file types may use different file paths.

  1. Plug your camera or SD card into the computer.

    Check your camera screen after it's plugged in and follow any prompts to allow the camera to connect.

  2. Click Open folder to view files.

  3. Double-click PRIVATE to open.

  4. Double-click AVCHD.

  5. Double-click BDMV.

  6. Double-click STREAM.

  7. Select all the files from the event you’re uploading labeled AVCHD in the type category. Right-click the files and select Copy items.

    To select all files in the folder, hit CTRL + A on your keyboard. To select multiple files, but not the entire folder, click the first file, press and hold the Shift key, then click the last file.

  8. On your desktop, right-click and select New folder, then give your folder a name.

  9. Right-click the new folder you created and select Paste items.

  10. Once your files have finished copying to your desktop, you can get them on Hudl with our web uploader. See the steps.

Copy Files to Your Desktop (Mac)

To ensure a smooth upload, follow these steps to move AVCHD files from your camera or SD card to your computer before using the web uploader.

Note: Other file types may use different file paths.

  1. Plug your camera into the computer.

    Check your camera screen after it's plugged in and follow any prompts to allow the camera to connect.

  2. Double-click the camera icon that appears on your desktop.

    Depending on the device type, this may be labeled Canon, Sony, Nikon, Removable, etc.

  3. Double-click PRIVATE.

  4. Right-click AVCHD and select Show Package Contents.

  5. Right-click BDMV and select Show Package Contents.

  6. Double-click STREAM.

  7. Select all the files from the event you're uploading that end in the extension .MTS. Right-click the files and select Copy Items.

    To select all files in the folder, hit command + A on your keyboard. To select multiple files, but not the entire folder, click the first file, press and hold the Shift key, then click the last file.

  8. On your desktop, right-click and select New Folder, then give your folder a name.

  9. Right-click the new folder you created and select Paste Items.

  10. Once your files have finished copying to your desktop, you can get the video on Hudl with the web uploader. See the steps.
