Reports Overview

Hudl has several pre-designed, interactive reports to help you quickly and easily generate powerful breakdowns in seconds. These reports can be created with just two clicks. All of Hudl’s reports are created in the video library, available online, printable, and can be shared to your entire team.

  1. Hudl has the following pre-designed reports:

Formation Report

This report provides a comprehensive look at all the formations a particular offense has shown in the games being analyzed. It provides an overall look at the top nine offensive formations, and a detailed breakdown of every formation used. The report provides the following information:

  • Run/Pass Breakdown
  • Top Run and Pass Plays from the formation
  • Basic DN/DIST breakdown on the formation
  • Hit Chart detailing the formation’s running plays
  • Pass Zone Chart detailing the formation’s pass plays
  • OFF STR breakdown and what the PLAY DIR is based on the OFF STR
  • Breakdown of all MOTIONS used with the formation
  • Breakdown of whether plays run from the formation were run into the Field or the Boundary

The first part of the report displays the top nine formations ran by the offense. Click on Create a Formation Diagram to draw a diagram of the particular formation. Each formation is broken up into the most common offensive plays ran within that formation. Click on the number or the name of the formation to quickly jump to more detailed information of that particular formation.

Each formation is also broken down into more detailed information including favorite runs, favorite passes, backfields, motion and boundaries.

There is detailed information of the common backfields within each formation. The breakdown of the number of pass and run plays within each backfield are listed, along with the favorite offensive play within that backfield.

Summary Report

This report provides an overview of the team you're scouting, and makes a great cover page for scouting reports. The report provides the following information:

  • Overall Run/Pass breakdown
  • Breakdown showing the top three formations
  • Top three run and pass plays
  • Top three explosive run and pass plays (most successful plays)

Down and Distance Report

This report is intended to provide a breakdown of a team’s tendencies in certain situations based on Down and Distance. The report provides the following information:

  • Breakdown of Down and Distance tendencies based on Field Position
  • Run/Pass Tendencies based on Down and Distance
  • Overall Run/Pass breakdown based on Field Position
  • Breakdown of the formations used in certain Down and Distance situations based on Field Position
  • Breakdown of the plays used in certain Down and Distance situations based on Field Position

Field Zone Report

This report provides a graphical breakdown of a team based on Field Position and Hash. The report provides the following information:

  • Breakdown of Plays by overall Field Position and Hash
  • Breakdown of Formations by overall Field Position and Hash
  • Breakdown of Plays by Field Position and Hash in the Red zone
  • Breakdown of Formation by Field Position and Hash in the Red zone

Hit Chart

This report provides an overall look at which plays are run through each GAP. The report shows helmets (lineman) and the data appears between them. The blue helmet in the middle is the Center. The report provides the following information:

  • Breakdown of GAP for all running plays
  • Breakdown of Gap by OFF STR

What's Next

This report provides a prediction of what to expect after a certain situation has occurred. The report looks at a team’s past data and analyzes how they respond offensively in certain situations. We display that information in hopes of providing insight as to what defense would be best in a certain situation. The categories include Run/Pass scenarios, Down/Distance scenarios, and other game changing scenarios.

Blitz

This report will give a comprehensive look at the blitzes a team uses. It includes detailed breakdowns of what blitzes are used in various scenarios. The report provides the following information:

  • Overall Frequency count of blitzes used
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Down
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Front
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Offensive Formation
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Formation faced and Front
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Field Position
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Field Position and Front
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Down and Distance
  • Breakdown of what blitzes were used by Down and Distance and Front

Coverage

This report will give a detailed look at the Coverage a team uses. This report includes breakdowns of which Coverages are used in various scenarios. The report provides the following information:

  • Overall Frequency count of which Coverages were used
  • Breakdown of what Coverage were used by Offensive Formation
  • Breakdown of what Coverage was used by Field Position situation
  • Breakdown of what Coverage was used by Down
  • Breakdown of what Coverage was used by Down and Distance

Front

This report will give a very detailed look at the Fronts a team uses. This report includes detailed breakdowns of which Fronts are used in various scenarios. The report provides the following information:

  • Overall Frequency count of which Fronts were used
  • Breakdown of what Front was used by Offensive Formation
  • Breakdown of what Front was used by Field Position
  • Breakdown of what Front was used by Down
  • Breakdown of what Front was used by Down and Distance

Player Stats

This report will provide all of the basic stats for a football team based on data in the Passer, Receiver, Rusher and Tackler columns. This report provides the following information:

  • Passing Stats – Attempts, Completions, Completion Percentage, Yards Passing, Yards per Attempt, Touchdowns Scored, Fumbles, Interceptions, and Rating
  • Rushing Stats – Attempts, Yards Rushing, Average Gain per Rush, Touchdowns and Fumbles
  • Receiving Stats – Receptions, Yards Receiving, Average Gain per Reception, Touchdowns, Fumbles, Drops
  • Defensive Stats – Tackles, Assists, Sacks, Tackles for Loss, Forced Fumbles, Blocked Kicks, Passes Batted Down, Interceptions
