Use the Find Window

This tutorial is specific to our newest product, Hudl Sportscode. If you’re on Sportscode v11, use these resources instead or upgrade today.

Use the find win­dow to eas­i­ly locate instances, groups, or spe­cif­ic labels from a sin­gle time­line, a data­base, or a fold­er con­tain­ing mul­ti­ple time­lines. You can also select instances in the find win­dow and send them to a sorter or organizer.

Navigate to the find win­dow by Edit > Find or press­ing Command + F.

From the Front Timeline

  1. Open a pack­age in Hudl Sportscode.

  2. Open the find tool by click­ing Edit > Find or Command + F.

  3. The find­er will pull in instances and labels from the time­line you cur­rent­ly have open.

  4. All your cod­ed instances will be on the left side of the screen. Your labels and codes will be list­ed on the right.

  5. From this view, you can select mul­ti­ple instances and send them to an orga­niz­er or sorter.

From All Timelines in Folder

  1. Open Hudl Sportscode and nav­i­gate to the find tool by click­ing Edit > Find or press­ing Command + F.

  2. Select All Timelines in Folder… from the dropdown.

  3. Choose a fold­er con­tain­ing mul­ti­ple Sportscode pack­ages in it and click Open.

  4. Your instances will be orga­nized by Timeline on the left and by Codes, Labels, and Groups on the right.

From a Database

  1. Open Hudl Sportscode and nav­i­gate to the Find tool by click­ing Edit > Find or press­ing Command + F.

  2. Choose Selected Database… from the dropdown.

  3. Select a Hudl Sportscode data­base. Click Open.
  4. Your data­base instances will be list­ed on the left and orga­nized by group and label on the right.
