Record from the Hudl Focus App

Record from the Hudl Focus App (iOS)

You can also schedule games or practices to be recorded from the Hudl Focus app (or start any recording on the fly)—only coaches and team admins can record from the app. To gain access to this feature, reach out to a member of the coaching staff to get added to their roster on Hudl.

Record a Game

  1. Open the Hudl Focus app and select the Hudl Focus camera you would like to record on.

  2. Tap the + icon.

  3. Tap Game.

  4. Click on Opponent to select the team you are playing against.

  5. Search for the name of the team you are playing. Select the correct team when you see it appear.

    If your opponent does not appear in the list, enter your opponent's name manually by typing it out. Double-check the spelling before choosing this option.

    "No Opponent" should only be used for events where there's only one team participating–like a scrimmage.

  6. Enter the remaining event details and tap Add.

Record a Practice

  1. Open the Hudl Focus app and tap the + icon.

  2. Select Practice.

  3. Select which team the practice recording is for.

  4. Tap Add.

Extend a Recording

  1. To extend a recording, tap Extend.

  2. Select the extension length.

Stop a Recording

  1. To stop a recording, tap Stop.

  2. Tap Stop to verify.

Switch Between Cameras

  1. To switch between cameras at any time, click the name of the camera at the top of your screen.

  2. Now, select the camera you would like to record from.

Record a Game

  1. Open the Hudl app and select the camera you would like to record on.

  2. Tap the + icon.

  3. Tap Game.

  4. Enter the event details and tap Add.

Record a Practice

  1. Tap the + icon.

  2. Select Practice.

  3. Select a date and start time to sched­ule a prac­tice record­ing in the future or start record­ing immediately.

  4. Select which team the prac­tice record­ing is for.

  5. Tap Add.

Extend a Recording

  1. To extend a record­ing, tap Extend.

  2. Select the extension length.

Stop a Recording

  1. To stop a record­ing, tap Stop.

  2. Tap Stop to verify.
