Installation Requirements

We don’t want your camera to miss a moment of the action, so make sure it’s mounted in the correct location. Need help determining where to install your camera? Check out our placement guide or use the chart below.

Your Camera Needs

Because

A fixed location at half court, no more than five feet to the left or right of the center line, and no less than 10 feet back from the sideline.

A center court location is the only way to capture the entire field of play.

Access to a grounded 110v AC power outlet.

The camera runs on 110v AC power. If the provided power cord isn’t long enough to reach an outlet, feel free to use an extension cord.

To have the scoreboard in view. The scoreboard should be mounted on a different wall than the camera, and should not be blocked by a banner or backboard.

If the camera can see the scoreboard, we can use it to provide score context on your livestream. During installation, the scoreboard needs to be turned on with all digits illumninated.

Your camera’s required height depends on how far it’ll be from the sideline. Once you measure the distance from the court’s sideline to the wall you intend to mount your camera on, use the chart below to determine how high it needs to be.

If you’ll be mounting your camera on a wall, here’s what you’ll need. We also have some recommendations for if you’re mounting from a beam or rafter.
