Run Connection Test

When you have slow video playback or trouble uploading video to Hudl.com, a connection test can provide an explanation.

To test your connection, log in to Hudl, then go to hudl.com/speedtest and click Run Tests

Firewall/Stability

The connection test will determine if there is an existing firewall on your network and the stability of your internet connection.

Download

After testing your connection’s download speed, the results will show. We suggest a minimum of 5-10 Mbps for video playback.

Upload

Once your upload speed has been tested, the results will show. We suggest a minimum of 2-5 Mbps to upload video to Hudl.

How to Use Results

If you’re getting a yellow or red frowning face on your upload or download speeds, we suggest connecting to a different network. If you’re using Wi-Fi, another solution could be manually connecting to the internet using an ethernet cord.

If you’ve tried different wireless connections and the ethernet option, the next step would be to contact your internet provider. You can provide them the results from testing your connection.
